Terms

rcamhub hosts parametric .rcam files so people can find them, open them in the RapidCAM app and cut them. Using the site means accepting what is below. It is short on purpose and says only things the site actually does.

Cutting anything here is your responsibility

This is the part worth reading. A design on this site becomes G-code that drives a spindle, a rotary axis or a laser. rcamhub does not simulate toolpaths, does not check feeds, speeds, depths or clearances, and cannot tell a sound program from one that will break a cutter, ruin your stock or start a fire.

Nobody else knows your machine, your workholding, your material or your tooling. Read the toolpaths, check the depths against your stock, and run it as if it were your own file — because once it is on your machine, it is.

Designs are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind, and neither rcamhub nor an author is liable for what a machine does with one. If a published design looks dangerous, report it: that is what the unsafe reason is for.

Accounts

You need an account to publish, like, post a photo or report something — not to browse or download. You must be at least 16, you are responsible for what happens under your account, and one person should not run several accounts to make a design look more popular than it is.

What you may post

Do not publish:

  • work that is not yours to publish, or under a licence that is not yours to give;
  • a design that would be dangerous to cut as described;
  • spam or advertising, and nothing whose purpose is to drive people somewhere else;
  • in a profile, photo or avatar: anything offensive or explicit, or anything pretending to be a person you are not.

That list is deliberately the same one the report forms offer, so what a reader can report and what an author is told not to do are the same thing rather than two lists drifting apart.

Your work stays yours

You keep the copyright in everything you publish. Nothing here transfers ownership.

To show your design to anyone, the site has to copy it: store it, draw a preview from it, put that preview on a card, and send the file to whoever downloads it. So by publishing, you give rcamhub permission to host, copy, display and distribute what you posted for the purpose of running the site. That permission is not exclusive, it earns nobody any claim over your work, and it ends when you delete the design or your account, except for copies other people already downloaded — which no site can recall.

You are confirming you have the right to give that permission. If a design is someone else’s, or embeds a font or artwork you are not licensed to redistribute, it is not yours to publish here.

The licence you choose

Every published design carries a licence you pick: public domain (CC0), CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC, CC BY-NC-SA, or all rights reserved. That choice is what governs other people — what they may do with your file, whether they must credit you, and whether they may use it commercially.

If you download a design, that licence binds you. Remixing is only offered where the parent licence allows derivatives, and the site refuses a remix whose licence would contradict its parent — a share-alike parent keeps its licence, and a non-commercial parent cannot become a commercial remix.

Moderation

Published work can be removed, and an uploaded avatar cleared, if it breaks the rules above. Reports are read by moderators; the person reported is not told who filed one, and reporting something is not a guarantee it will be removed.

An account can be suspended for repeatedly breaking these terms. If you think something was removed wrongly, write to tutti.studios@gmail.com.

The site itself

rcamhub comes with no promise that it will stay available, keep your files indefinitely, or work at all. Keep your own copies of anything you care about. The RapidCAM app runs in your browser and saves locally, so a design you made does not depend on this site existing.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. What the site does with personal data is on the privacy page.
